Temple Israel (fourth) is built.

Architect: McLaughlin & Burr. Designed the Beaux Arts tyle, it is located at 260 The Riverway (477 Longwood Avenue). An addition by the Architects Collaborative with a large sculpture by Louise Nevelson in front of it is completed in 1974.
